Art @ The Mill: Fabrications

It was by chance that I came across a "call for artists" flyer for the Fabrications exhibition at the Mill in Walthamstow but, filled with enthusiasm after the E17 Art Trail, I jumped at the chance. Selecting three pieces that fit the criteria (note the rather large clue in the title) I trotted down to the popular community centre and got involved... and was chuffed to bits when someone bought "His 'n' Hers"! In fact, it inspired me to do more work with textiles... |

Memories

Following on from the success of Fabrications, I jumped at the chance of exhibiting at the Mill again. In 2018 I exhibited my paintings Cyprus and Exposure in the group show Memories. Exposure was inspired by my experiences working with vulnerable adults. Painted after visiting the island to attend a friend's funeral, Cyprus also felt like a good fit for the brief - and, as it turns out, the other pieces shown. |
